“Hokie Nation” heated competition in practice

Kim Koditek and Erin Miller of Hokie Nation, one of the eight teams competing in the 2014 Semi-Annual Video Field Days, became the dominating player by four wins after letting Transylvania – the only team of three – leading the first two events. Advanced Multimedia Reporting Professor Derley Aguilar, host of the much anticipated competition, revealed the success behind the winning team, “It is the small details that matter, my friend.”

The competition is held in Room #157, Moss Art Center on September 17, 2014 as part of the course to help students “understand how to take care of and use the equipment.” Students were challenged with tasks involved with setting up the camera and adjusting several functions. Alex Marinello, winner of the first Orange event said that she “was really nervous going into it” but later added that she “started to focus on what needed to be done, and not worrying about the stress.”

Blonde. Blonder. Blondest.

"Aim the scissor-and-dyer-hand" has always been my secret sobriquet but it's not until; Mika - my former debate teammate - asked me for reviews on hair products ,and P'Pang - my most recent customer -  consulted me on how to make eyeshadows stay on her eyelids in Bangkok climate; that I realized my figure is reaching Michelle Phan's stage where surrounding people recognise you as a beauty guru. HUZZAH! Choosing proper beauty products is and will invariably be my top precedence as well as resurrecting girls from beauty disasters and correcting trivial lulu myths. (Dappling hair color or eccentric Amy Winehouse eyeliner can equally turn me into a psycho.)
So what's the main message of this update? I hereby resist blogging about beauty products and typical girls-to-girls cosmetic reviews regardless of the personal obsession. This post, however, is officially announcing my made-from-Aim's-scratch salon. No money motivator but an education bonus. The point is.. I get to experiment on those cheap heads and learning is then cultivated. I'm just teasing. But seriously, I do learn from making mistakes and the process of trial and error has been on since my freshman year in high school - when I started cut my own and friends' hair with an eighty ignorance and a twenty what-the-hell-am-I-doing. Professional takes practice and reliability is fostered along products. Made by Aim.

Typical nitades going through typical blonde phase.

We walk the hills.

So my blog had been left abandonned for a complete full month (blogging dysentery on the 3rd of every month) with a reason of tight schedule - universal excuse for bloggers.

The Cantonese land took me for 103 hours of the gone days for 2nd Hong Kong Debate Open. I am formally no longer an international-tournament-virgin. My this time teammate was Ploy Booasang - Yes, the one EU-TH Debaters named 'Chula Rang.' But after spending time attending trainings and debating with Ploy, there's only one description I can refer to her: "She's so cute." This is an explicit example of how much debater performances influence people's judgements. Overall, I'm complacent with what I've gained from the tourney - experiences, friends, skills and a spare time with my boyfriend before going to bed every night and one full day with him.

Team Themes: BluePower/ Undefeated Leopard Rawrr! and Yellow cupcake (My ass-length yellow dress prevented me from cooperating with Ploy so dress unity was automatically diminished on the last day)

Scroll down to wander through a teenage dream mist.

New&I on an every night walk.

"Aim:     OMG. How do I get the cake when
I'll be stuck at the uni till night!?
Kevin: Guys don't care about cakes dude.
                     Aim:       K. Fine..  (frowning face)"

31 October: Newwhalela's Birthday!

Pong: "Aim, Go hide in the restroom." Aim: "P'Ploy, Has P'Pang called? Are they coming?" P'Ploy: "Shhh! Be quiet, Guys. They're coming." Silent Chaos. And one marvelous guy offically turned 19.
A couple who walked approximately a kilometer per day and could still enjoy the breeze and springing rain :)
Grab a Sprite-flavored lip smacker and a nail polish set from SASA for Mot.

Mango Pudding & Egg Tart Flavored collons (for flood-relating food storage.)
The packages were wracked within its first 5 hours of arrival.

A pair for Art - my lil brad and New being a fashion mentor. Guyship always works.

Last, a sincere appreciation on P P splitting the budget for nongnong. I personally have no faith in a seniority so this is me finding a genuine value in the P Nong relationship without the Chula obliged bond. Two endings for this blog: The trip was incalculable because of the people in it; and, time and troubles testify the right person.
